The team over at LEGO have been busy uploading all of the building instructions for the new 2016 sets and this one is HUGE. Literally.
They’ve uploaded the instructions for the insanely popular Ghostbusters Firehouse HQ. The piece count on the set is 4634 pieces and the building manual is a massive 420 pages long! The first 4 pages are information and history on the Ghostbusters movie, but everything after that is building! The previous record, I think, was the LEGO Death Star 10188 at 264 pages.
Part of this size difference in the instructions is the way LEGO has evolved their instruction process to focus on clarity. The number of bricks installed in each step seems to be lower, making the instructions easier to follow for builders of all ages. Of course the other reason is that the set itself is just huge. Seeing the box on the shelves at the LEGO store shows the difference as it is much thicker and taller than any other set out there.
Let me know in the comments if you decide to build this without buying the set! I’d love to know how you make out and how many pieces you needed to order just for this.
