Hey guys, guess what?! The LEGO Group and SEGA have teamed up to create an awesome new product range based on Sonic the Hedgehog! You can now bring your favorite Sonic characters and environments to life in brick form with the brand new ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ LEGO product range. How cool is that?
This collaboration has resulted in four sets of different sizes and complexity. You can build Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Eggman, and create beloved levels including Sonic’s Speed Sphere, Tails’s Workshop and Tornado Plane, Amy’s Animal Rescue Island, and the iconic Green Hill Zone. These sets will be available in August 2023 at authorized retailers.
According to Ivo Gerscovich, Chief Business & Brand Officer at SEGA of America, this partnership will provide fans with an unforgettable experience that they will cherish for years to come. Fans of all ages can use their imagination to play out their favorite Sonic moments, and create their own unique courses, combine sets and invent new storylines. How awesome is that?!
With new toy accessories, you can role-play as Sonic, his famous friends, hang out at the DJ deck, repair the Tornado plane and more fun activities. This new Sonic product range from SEGA and the LEGO Group furthers the collaborative efforts between these global companies, following the highly successful LEGO Ideas Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone set, released in 2021.
Frédéric Roland Andre, Designer at the LEGO Group, is especially proud of the Speed Sphere, which was quite a challenge to create an action-packed set that would allow Sonic to speed up and interact with each course. The sets offer an entirely new, action-packed play experience, and he can’t wait for fans to see them!
So, mark your calendars because the LEGO Sonic The Hedgehog sets will be available from August 1st, 2023, on www.LEGO.com and in LEGO stores.
