The upcoming LEGO City Jungle Explorers sets were debuted at New York Toy Fair this past weekend, and overall I think they’re pretty cool.
We’re getting a black panther, spotted leopard and crocodile for the animals in various sets. The Jungle Exploration Site set (60161) features features a crashed plane, ancient cave and boulder and also brand new kayak in red. The kayak also appears in the LEGO Friends Heartlake Surf Shop set this year in purple. This set also appears to include a giant Venus Flytrap type of plant.
We also see 60159 below, the Jungle Halftrack Mission. There are a couple of other sets in the series that are not pictured below. Hopefully they’ll appear soon.
It’s hard to tell if the plastic waterfall curtain seen in the 3rd picture is included in one of the sets. If it is, then I probably wouldn’t keep it, it looks pretty cheesy.
