If you’ve got project in mind that requires a water wheel, like the Cider Mill below, you may be interested in this technique by Miro Dudas, Miro78 on Flickr.

From the photo, you can follow his building technique fairly easily, I think. You’re building 2 sides of the wheel, and then connecting them to form the full wheel. Quite clever and simple after you spend a minute looking at it.
