While I won’t post it here, there is a photo running around on Reddit and other sites showing what appears to be the cover of the first instruction book for set 76060 – Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum due out either late this September.
The set includes minifigures for Doctor Steven Strange, of course, Baron Mordo and The Ancient One. In the set they are fighting a mysterious tentacled being coming through a portal in the wall. The Doctor Strange figure has new printed, transparent circular disks to represent his magic and the Ancient One also has magic transparent “fan” type weapons in her hands.
The walls of the room in which this takes place are reminiscent of The Big Bang Theory set using the same tan and brown color scheme.
As always, I’m skeptical of this information, but BrickSet.com has included the set name and number in their 2016 inventory, so that’s a good sign. The set reportedly has 368 pieces and will retail for about $35 US.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange movie is set for a November 4, 2016 release in the US and stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, The Imitation Game) as the titular character, along with Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
