Despite the release of the Batman vs Superman movie this month, LEGO isn’t giving us much in the way of new DC Super Heroes sets to get excited about. We get 3 new Mighty Micros, Gotham City Cycle Chase and 76052: Batman Classic TV Series – Batcave. Let’s have a look at the 4 smaller new sets.
This looks like a great way and relatively inexpensive way to get Batman and Harley Quinn minifigures, and also Deadshot. 224 pieces builds 2 motorcycles – one for Batman (with the now everywhere stud shooters) and one for Harley. And of course Harley has her giant hammer. The hammer will also attach to her motorcycle and swing out to knock Batman down.76061: Batman vs. Catwoman
The appeal here may be in the smaller-than-normal minifigures. They have the shorter legs, but in this case could be swapped out for full size black legs if you don’t want to race them in their cars. It also comes with a milk carton and a diamond, and Catwoman’s car has an attractive cat tail so you can tell it apart from the Batmobile.76062: Robin vs. Bane
Nothing against Robin, but this seems like an unfair mashup. I mean, Bane broke Batman’s back! Robin hardly stands a chance, but maybe their cars will help even things up. Bane is driving a bright green driller with flames and carries dynamite, while Robin drives his red car and carries a grapple-hook gun. Ok, now that I’ve written that, Robin still seems pretty outclassed by Bane.76063: The Flash vs. Captain Cold
This time out we’ve got The Flash going against his arch-enemy Captain Cold. Flash has an energy drink and Captain Cold has his freeze gun. I assume they’re fighting over the snow cone. The Flash is driving a snazzy red car with flames (or lightning) and Captain Cold is driving a snowplow (crossed with a Zamboni?)
