Facebook user “LEGO Star Wars Addict” has posted a couple of photos of the new LEGO Star Wars sets to their account. One of the photos shows a tiny sign posted that shows a “No photos” icon, which is why these photos are only now coming out.
One thing to note in the advent calendar is a metal silver-colored C-3PO figure, but some have called it “gold”, possibly using a better picture or live report. One of the sets we see is “Vader’s TIE Advanced vs A-Wing” and is pictured in the bottom left of the left photo above. Other news sets are listed below.

There’s no sign yet of the new Death Star model that was previously reported, but some sites I’ve read suggest that LEGO is holding back another group of sets for “a new property” in the Star Wars universe. To me, this makes sense as Disney has “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” due out in December 2015. Given the “corporate synergy” between LEGO and Disney on the Star Wars films, it would make sense to bring out a Rogue One line. And since the story there is largely still secret, Disney doesn’t want spoilers coming out.
IMDB lists the plot of Rogue One as “Rebels set out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star” so there’s great opportunity to tie in the new Death Star model. Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Forrest Whitaker. It’s part of Disney’s plan to release a new Star Wars related move every year.
Update: Just as I posted this, The Brick Fan posted about new information posted by PromoBricks that confirms we should expect LEGO Star Wars sets based on Rogue one around October.
