Bricklink has rebounded from their downtime a few weeks ago and are plowing ahead as you’d expect. Today they announced the 5 Bricklink Designer Program Series 3 finalists. You can click through to see the finalists designs now.
From here, the 5 sets will go through design revisions by LEGO’s internal team to finalize the set. “Working with Model Governance and Building Instructions teams, and making any final necessary adjustments before locking the designs for pre-production”, a process scheduled to go until September 2024.
Then in October 2024, the sets will be available for “Crowd Funding” – meaning we the consumers can pre-order the sets to determine viability for production. “BrickLink members may pre-order their favorite sets, with a limit of 2 of each set per household. All sets that receive over 3,000 pre-orders will be produced. Up to 20,000 of each set will be manufactured during a limited, one-time production run.”
The previous 2 Bricklink Designer Programs have been tremendously popular and we’re glad to see this tradition continuing.
