Hello LEGO® enthusiasts! We have some exciting news to share with you today. BrickLink, the popular LEGO® marketplace, is introducing a new feature that will give fans another way to purchase some of their favourite BrickLink Designer Program (BDP) submissions that don’t make it through to the official selection.

The BDP is a fantastic platform where LEGO® fans can share their creations and have the chance to see them turned into BrickLink Series sets. It’s a bit like LEGO Ideas, but with a twist. BDP sets have a limited production run, feature digital instructions, and are chosen from a wider range of creations submitted through BrickLink.

Now, BrickLink is testing a new feature called the MOC Pop-up Store. This innovative feature will allow some of the fan-created builds that were previously submitted to the BDP but didn’t make it to the final five in each series to still be enjoyed by fans.

The BrickLink team will invite some of the previous BDP submissions to become part of the MOC Pop-up Store. The chosen builders can then sell their instructions via BrickLink. The process will also collate all the required elements from a combination of the BrickLink marketplace seller and the LEGO Pick a Brick service. This process is designed to be as easy as possible for both the fan designers and those who wish to build their creations.

Please note that this process will not include unique packaging for the builds, and prices will vary depending on the availability of elements. Not all locations will be able to purchase the sets, partly, it seems, based on LEGO warehouse locations and shipping options.

Americas: United States

Europe: UK, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

Sadly, Canada isn’t included on the list, so I’ll have to make other arrangements. I’d also like to see an option to buy the digital instructions alone, but that doesn’t seem to be part of the program.

So, LEGO® fans, get ready to explore a new world of creativity with the BrickLink MOC Pop-up Store. Happy building!
