Our favorite mermaid Ariel is coming to theaters nationwide on May 26, 2023, and we couldn’t be more excited. You remember Ariel, right? She’s that adventurous and headstrong mermaid who’s just dying to explore the world above the waves. And who can forget her love story with the oh-so-handsome Prince Eric?
This fresh take on the Disney classic is filled with familiar faces like Halle Bailey from “grown-ish” playing Ariel, and Jonah Hauer-King from “A Dog’s Way Home” as Prince Eric. We’re also getting some serious star power with Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs voicing Sebastian, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and Jacob Tremblay as Flounder.
The cast also includes some incredible talent, like Noma Dumezweni as The Queen, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, and Oscar winner Javier Bardem as King Triton. And who could play the notorious sea witch Ursula better than Melissa McCarthy? I can’t wait to see her performance!
