Holy LEGO Batman – 76052 Batman Classic TV Series Batcave details

NOTE: We saw some awesome, but blurry, photos of the new Batcave set due out later this year. They’re still available on the internet (everything is always on the internet), but LEGO has been contacting sites and asking them to remove the images. We’re not going to risk the wrath of LEGO and will hold out for an official announcement and images before sharing.

Set 76052 Batman Classic TV Series – Batcave first appeared on Facebook this morning, courtesy of Alan Pérez in Panama City, with the picture showing the front and back of the box. The set looks very complete if you’re a Batman fan and contains a total of 9 (nine!) minifigures. It also has models of the Batmobile, Batcycle, Batcopter, Batcave (of course) and a section of Wayne Manor.

The nine minifigures seem to be: Batman, Robin, Bruce Wayne (Adam West), Dick Grayson (Burt Ward), Alfred Pennyworth, The Joker, The Riddler, The Penguin and Catwoman! That’s a LOT of minifigures and really captures the whole villain team from the original series. One of the main missing figures is Mr. Freeze and speculation is that the minifigure that appeared online recently could be a promotional polybag released with this set, but not included.

The details all seem to be there, down to the sidecar of the Batcycle and the “fire poles” used by Bruce and Dick when heading to the Batcave from the Manor.

One site is reporting that the set will be available on February 17th for VIP Members online and in LEGO Brand stores, and then March 1st for non-VIP members. We can’t guess at a price because the photos didn’t show a piece count for the project, but given the size of the set and complexity, it’s likely to be in the $200USD range at least.
