Tickets for the BrickCan Public LEGO® Exhibition, happening April 23-34, 2016, in Richmond BC went on sale yesterday through Ticketmaster, both in person at Ticketmaster kiosks and online. Full email announcement is below.

While I’m a big fan of what they’re doing, I do find the pricing strategy interesting. Your ticket is valid for 2 hours of viewing the exhibits only. According to the official BrickCan Facebook page, this is for the main exhibition theater only, and is to keep things moving and ensure everyone has the opportunity to see everything.

I’m about to register for the full 4-day AFOL convention – my first – so that should be interesting!

LEGO® Fans of All Ages!!

Choose your preferred viewing time – morning, mid-day, or afternoon, and plan to spend a few hours seeing all the incredible creations, doing some building of your own in the “Creation Station”, and maybe picking up rare classic or custom sets, unique accessories, artwork, jewellery, and cool T-shirts from “Vendor Alley”.

Your ticket gives you 2 hours of viewing time in the display hall, access to “Vendor Alley” with all sorts of LEGO goodies available, and entry into “Creation Station”, where you can build and play with thousands of LEGO and DUPLO bricks (Creation Station hours 9am – 4pm). Plus, all children 12 and under will receive an exclusive custom-designed BrickCan LEGO kit to take home!

BrickCan expects most tickets to be pre-sold before the event, so don’t wait to get yours. There will be few tickets, if any, available at the door. Note that you can avoid some Ticketmaster charges by purchasing tickets in person from a Ticketmaster kiosk, instead of online.

The River Rock Casino Resort is where the event is being held. It is a very family-friendly venue, with quiet, luxurious rooms and suites, many dining options available, a fantastic pool and waterslide, and is located right on the skytrain line.

Visiting from outside the Richmond area? Enjoy a great overnight adventure, right at the River Rock! Discounted room rates are available for BrickCan guests for a limited time. Book through the BrickCan website or mention BrickCan if you phone directly

Please note: Strollers and wagons will not be permitted at BrickCan due to space restrictions. The exhibition is fully wheelchair accessible.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
