LEGO Mario Kart Luigi & Mach 8 Set Is the Perfect Companion to Mario’s Kart

0

Luigi’s finally hitting the track! The LEGO Group has revealed the LEGO Mario Kart Luigi & Mach 8 set (72050), the latest 18+ build in the LEGO Super Mario lineup and the ideal partner piece to last year’s hugely popular Mario & Standard Kart set (72037). This time it’s the green machine’s turn to shine, and he’s arriving in style behind the wheel of the first-ever large-scale LEGO brick recreation of the iconic Mach 8 kart. At 2,234 pieces, this is actually a bigger build than Mario’s set — so yeah, Player 2 came to play.

The set features a beautifully detailed buildable Luigi figure with a posable head, arms, and hands, seated confidently in the Mach 8 and ready to race. Display options are fantastic — the kart sits on a stand that lets you angle it in dynamic, race-ready poses that capture that classic mid-drift energy. But it’s not just a static display piece. Remove the kart from its stand and you can roll it forward, turn the steering wheel to move the front wheels, and spin the back wheels to activate a rotating flame exhaust. It’s the kind of playful interactivity that makes LEGO Super Mario sets so much fun, and paired alongside Mario’s Standard Kart, you’ve got yourself one seriously impressive head-to-head display.

LEGO® Mario Kart™ levels up Super Mario™ line-up with Luigi and the first-ever large-scale Mach 8 Kart set

BILLUND, DENMARK – 10 March 2026: Start your engines! The LEGO Group today revealed the LEGO® Mario Kart™ – Luigi & Mach 8 (72050), the latest addition to the line-up of LEGO Super Mario™ products. This highly detailed model is inspired by the beloved Mario Kart™ series.

Builders can display the kart on its stand at dynamic, race-ready angles, capturing the excitement of a Mario Kart™ showdown mid-drift. For added interactivity, the model can also be removed from its stand and rolled forward. Turning the steering wheel turns the front wheels, and turning the back wheels will spin the flame exhaust, allowing for a playful movement alongside static display.

The Luigi & Mach 8 set is the ideal counterpart to the LEGO® Mario Kart™ – Mario & Standard Kart (72037), sold separately, letting fans create a full head-to-head display of their favourite characters.

The LEGO Mario Kart™ – Luigi & Mach 8 (72050) is available for pre-order today (10 March 2026) and will be available for immediate purchase from 1 April 2026 via LEGO.com/Luigi-mach8 and LEGO Stores, priced at £159.99 / €179.99 / $179.99.

BILLUND, DENMARK – 12 March 2026: Blast off into comic book history with the LEGO® Ideas Tintin® Moon Rocket (21367), a detailed display model inspired by the classic Tintin comic books Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon.

Designed for adults aged 18+, the 1,283-piece set recreates the instantly recognisable red-and-white chequered Moon Rocket. Standing at 49cm tall, it is crafted as a display-ready piece that brings Tintin’s legendary journey from page to brick-built reality.

The set includes six classic Tintin characters – Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson and Thompson, all dressed in detailed space suits with helmets and oxygen tank accessories – plus a Snowy figure. Builders can relive an iconic moment from Explorers on the Moon by removing a panel at the top of the rocket to reveal a hidden control room, allowing a minifigure to be placed inside for the breathtaking first view of Earth from space.

The Tintin Moon Rocket was submitted by Portugal-based Fan Designer Alexis Dos Santos (LEGO Ideas username: TKel86), via the LEGO Ideas programme. Once designed and published on the platform, it achieved the landmark 10,000 vote status and following the rigorous selection process by the LEGO Ideas Review Board, was approved to be made into an official LEGO set.

“Creating the Tintin Moon Rocket has been an incredible journey”, said Alexis Dos Santos. “I wanted to capture the spirit of Tintin’s iconic rocket in a way that celebrates both its engineering elegance and its place in pop culture. Recreating its curvature and connecting the three floors pushed my creativity, and seeing it finally come together with all the minifigures in their space suits has been incredibly rewarding. I hope the build sparks the same sense of imagination and adventure that inspired me from the very beginning.”

The LEGO Ideas Tintin® Moon Rocket (21367) is available for pre-order from today, and available for immediate purchase from 1st April 2026, priced at £139.99 / €159.99 / $159.99 via LEGO.com/Tintin and LEGO Stores.

On top of that, you’re getting functional steering, suspension, a working gearbox and differential, plus a detailed V6 engine visible under the removable cover. From the iconic McLaren livery to the intricate mechanical functions, every element of this set is designed to deliver a rewarding build experience and a stunning display piece.

The LEGO® Ideas Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse Set was designed by Atlanta-based LEGO fan Robert Becker, as part of the LEGO Ideas programme. Once designed and published on the platform, it achieved the landmark 10,000 vote status and following the rigorous selection process by the LEGO Ideas Review Board, was approved to be made into an official LEGO set. The clever, playful design was a crowd favourite among the LEGO Ideas community, making it a popular choice. Talking about his design, Robert said : “I’ve always been a huge fan of Snoopy and the LEGO brand, so I decided to design my own version of him. It wasn’t easy, he and Woodstock are so recognisable that translating them into 3D LEGO models took a lot of trial and error. I originally built them for myself, but over the course of a year my family persuaded me to submit them to the LEGO Ideas platform, and now here we are. I’m beyond excited and honoured that Snoopy is becoming an official LEGO set.”

“This set has so much character, clearly inspired by an iconic scene from the Peanuts comic strip. Giving fans the opportunity to build the campfire scene of Snoopy and Woodstock toasting marshmallows under a starry night is a wonderful representation of a much-loved character. To further enhance the set’s timeless appeal, we added Snoopy’s red doghouse for fans to enjoy,” said Monica Pedersen, Marketing Director at the LEGO Group. “We were delighted that the Snoopy Campfire product idea received over 10,000 votes on the LEGO Ideas platform. Having Snoopy and Woodstock come to LEGO bricks is wonderful for Peanuts and LEGO fans alike.”

We know that fans around the world will be delighted to see these two iconic brands finally come together. The charming scene with best friends Snoopy and Woodstock will capture the hearts of Peanuts fans and LEGO collectors of all ages.”
