If you’ve ever wondered where the magic of LEGO truly begins, it’s not just in the colorful bricks that snap together to spark joy, but in the remarkable spaces where creativity and innovation come to life. The LEGO Group, with its roots firmly planted in Billund, Denmark since 1932, has always understood the importance of fostering environments that inspire. Over the years, they’ve continuously invested in their headquarters, most notably with the opening of the cutting-edge LEGO Campus in 2022. Now, LEGO is taking another giant leap with the introduction of the LEGO Copenhagen Hub by 2027, nestled in the iconic building known as The Stamp. This expansion is not just about space; it’s about creating a dynamic playground for creativity, where top talent from around the globe can come together to shape the future of play.

But the LEGO Copenhagen Hub is more than just a new office—it’s a statement. Located in the vibrant Postbyen development near Copenhagen Central Station, The Stamp will be a beacon of sustainability and innovation. Designed with world-class, accessible facilities, it will offer 30,000 square meters over nine floors, providing a collaborative, playful environment for up to 1,500 LEGO colleagues. The LEGO Group’s commitment to sustainability is front and center, with The Stamp aiming for Gold certification under the DGNB sustainable building standard. As LEGO continues to expand its global footprint with hubs and offices around the world, the LEGO Copenhagen Hub highlights the company’s dedication to its Danish roots and its mission to create spaces where imagination can soar. Whether you’re a LEGO fan or just curious about how a global toy giant builds its future, this is a story worth snapping into.

LEGO Copenhagen Hub - The Stamp building render

BILLUND, Denmark, August 20, 2024: The LEGO Group is investing further in Denmark with a new Hub in Copenhagen set to open in 2027 in The Stamp, a building currently under construction in the Postbyen development close to Copenhagen Central Station.

The new Hub will be in addition to its growing headquarters in Billund where more than 5,900 people are based and investments are ongoing in two new campuses.

Niels B Christiansen, CEO, said: “It is important for the LEGO Group to have inspiring workplaces in the best locations to continue to attract the right talent. In Denmark, we are investing in both our Billund headquarters with two new state-of-the-art campuses and the new Copenhagen Hub. With great access to the Capital and Øresund regions, the new Copenhagen Hub enables us to attract world-class talent to two fantastic locations in Denmark.”

The LEGO Group will be the sole occupant of The Stamp which will offer 30,000 square meters over nine floors and provide space for up to 1,500 colleagues. Throughout its design, sustainability is a key focus with the building being constructed to achieve Gold certification under the DGNB sustainable building standard. The Copenhagen Hub will be fitted with world-class, accessible facilities that foster collaboration, creativity and playfulness like in all LEGO® locations.

The Stamp is part of the Postbyen development which includes new offices, housing, restaurants, retail stores, and health and wellness facilities, close to Copenhagen Central Station.

The LEGO Group currently has an office in Østergade and will open a second office in Postgården on Løvstræde 1 (on the corner of Købmagergade) in September 2024. In total, these two offices will house around 650 colleagues while The Stamp is being built. Colleagues based in these two sites will be brought together in the new Hub once it opens.

The Copenhagen Hub will be the company’s fifth hub, joining Boston / Enfield (USA), London, Singapore and Shanghai. In addition, the LEGO Group has 37 sales offices and five factories, with two new manufacturing sites under construction.
