Let’s not get confused. LEGO are releasing 2 very similar products. Both sets 43243 and 43247 depict a young Simba but have very different audiences.
As we announced as part of the LEGO Disney Summer 2024 lineup set number 43243 Simba the Lion King Cub is a smaller 222-piece set with an age bracket of 6 and up and comes with a leaf and 4 bugs. The set is very posable and can be displayed or played with once built.
The other set (43247), called Young Simba the Lion King, is now available for pre-order on the LEGO website. Priced at $129.99 USD you will receive the set after June 1, but DO qualify for the Alien Space Diner GWP if you pre-order before they run out.
Young Simba the Lion King stands 11″ or 29cm tall when one display. This version has a moveable head that allows you to adjust the position to suit your display tastes. Made from 1445 pieces we’re intested in this set. The Lion King was an amazing film (the animated version of course) and one I remember fondly as I was working in a movie theater when it came out.
