The LEGO Ideas team has announced the 2 winners from the latest record-setting round of potentials.
Over the past few months, the LEGO Review Board has diligently evaluated an impressive 71 record-breaking product ideas that garnered 10,000 supporters between early January 2023 and early May 2023.
A hearty congratulations goes out to all the incredible 10K members for conquering this challenging milestone and earning eligibility for review. It’s a significant achievement, and the review board had a great time exploring the diverse range of submissions, though, as always, tough decisions had to be made.
Excitingly, there are currently 7 fan creations in development, all set to launch at different points in the future. Adding to the excitement, the recently unveiled Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera is stealing the spotlight, thanks to the talented American fan designer, Marc, also known as Minibrick Productions. What a fantastic way to conclude the year!
First up is Fan Designer Nick Micheels (aka LobsterThermidor)’s Twilight: Cullen House from the YA movie series Twilight about love and sparkly vampires. You can learn more about Nick and his design process in his LEGO Ideas 10K Club Interview.
Next up is Fan Designer Valentina Bima (aka Goannas89) and their Botanical Garden. A beautiful rendition of a classic looking building with plenty of glass, details, and plants. You can learn more about the design and Valentina in her LEGO Ideas 10K Club Interview. This set looks amazing, but I’m a little surprised LEGO approved it, seeing as the Friends line just got their own botanical garden this year in set 41757 and there are “some” similarities.
Of course, the final designs, pricing and availability are yet to be announced and we expect them sometime in 2024. Be sure to keep an eye out here for those details.
What’s Next for LEGO Ideas?
The next round of LEGO Ideas 10K candidates is still large with 49 submissions. The Ideas team is pouring over the designs and details with an announcement on this sets coming in early 2024. You can see the entire slate of submissions on the LEGO Ideas website.
