Someone at LEGO is trigger happy today, with 2 upcoming Christmas ornament sets appearing briefly, then being removed.
The 2 sets were up long enough for Brick Fanatics to capture the details this time. Both sets are listed at $12.99 USD and showed an upcoming release date of October 1, 2023 – well in advance of the holiday season.
Nutcracker (40640) – 208 pieces
The Nutcracker set seems similar to a previous release from 2017 and features a changeable face and moving mouth.
Gingerbread Ornaments (40642) – 190 pieces
The gingerbread ornaments seem fun – allowing you to customize the 3 base figures just like you would with some from out of the holiday oven. The set seems to include hooks for hanging, but no string or festive ribbon – so you’ll need your own.
