Hey Star Wars and LEGO fans, get ready to celebrate! With the Star Wars Celebration happening in London this weekend, LEGO has announced the release of two new diorama building sets that pay homage to the iconic scenes from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Can you believe it’s been 40 years since the film first hit theaters?

Now you can get your hands on these super cool sets that let you relive the epic final duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in the Emperor’s Throne Room or race through the lush forest floor during the Endor Speeder Chase. Each set comes with recognizable characters and the opportunity to recreate some unforgettable moments.

The Emperor’s Throne Room (75352) set, with its 807 LEGO bricks, gives you the chance to build a spot-on replica of the Death Star scene from Return of the Jedi, complete with the infamous window, Emperor’s chair, and other intricate details. You’ll also find three Minifigures in the set – Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader (both with their lightsabers), and Emperor Palpatine, who has a hidden lightsaber and bolts of Sith lightning. You can place the Minifigures in various positions to replicate your favorite parts of the scene.

For those of you who love the high-speed action of the Endor Speeder Chase (75353), the 608-piece diorama set brings it to life. Race Luke Skywalker on a speeder bike through the trees, accompanied by Minifigures of Luke, Princess Leia, and a Scout Trooper. You’ll have a blast recreating the two speeder bikes and the forest environment from the ground up to the towering tree tops.

Each of these new diorama sets comes with a printed display plaque featuring a movie quote, making them perfect for showing off in your LEGO Star Wars collection as you celebrate four decades of the Skywalker Saga.

Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, Design Lead for LEGO Star Wars, had this to say about the new sets: “It’s hard to over-state the impact that Return of the Jedi has had on popular culture since its release 40 years ago, and it was a real pleasure as a fan to help create these new dioramas that celebrate some of the film’s most iconic moments.” He added that revealing these sets during Star Wars Celebration is the perfect way to unveil them.

These new sets join the LEGO Star Wars diorama collection introduced in 2022, which includes the Death Star Trench Run Diorama (75329), Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama (75330), and Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama (75339). So, gear up and get ready to recreate and display your very own slice of cinematic history!
