Thanks for checking out part 3 of 4 in this series. If your favorite theme isn’t on this post, check out Part 1, Part 2 or Part 4 for those details.
You can use our new 3D viewer below to browse the entire catalog. There’s a “FULL SCREEN” button to make it bigger.

Monkie Kid
The Monkie Kid series will get a one new set early in 2021, if you consider March early. It’s a bit of a wait, but 80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech looks huge and spectacular. Honestly I don’t know a lot about this theme, but as I write this about 1/2 the current sets are out of stock online.
Jurassic World
LEGO is continuing to push this line, likely hoping that the 3rd movie will come out some day. There are currently no new sets listed for the first half of 2021.
Speed Champions
Speed Champions also seems to be getting no love for the first half of 2021. It could be just there’s no new sets to promote at this time but the single page in the catalog shows only 4 of 2020s sets.
LEGO Minifigures – Series 21
I’ve covered the Collectible Minifigure Series 21 twice recently so I’m not going into detail here. January 2021 will see the release of a limited edition series of 12 new costumed Minifigures.
LEGO Super Mario
Since the launch earlier this year, Super Mario has been amazingly popular and LEGO and Nintendo seem like they want to push it even more into 2021. There’s some great play elements with noises, course building and of course smartphone app interactivity. There are 6 pages in the catalog for this theme. As it’s new and LEGO has invested heavily in technology, they do spend some time explaining the concepts.
It should be noted that many of these are expansion sets and do not include the Super Mario figure and will also require the Starter Course (71360).
New sets appear to be 71380 Master Your Adventure Maker Set, 71382 Piranha Plant Puzzling Challenge Expansion Set, 71383 Wiggler’s Poison Swamp Expansion Set, 71381 Chain Chomp Jungle Encounter Expansion Set, 71385 Tanooki Mario Power-Up Pack, 71384 Penguin Mario Power-Up Pack, 71386 Character Packs Series 2 (10 to collect)
Ninjago and Ninjago Legacy
2021 will see serious expansion of the Ninjago line of sets, and the story/characters themselves. Ninjago is celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary so it makes sense to “go big”. If you’re a Ninjago fan, keep your eye out for these updates.
New sets listed in the catalog are: 71748 Catamaran Sea Battle, 71745 Lloyd’s Jungle Chopper Bike, 71746 Jungle Dragon, 71747 The Keepers’ Village. And in Ninjago Legacy: 71742 Overlord Dragon, 71735 Tournament of Elements, 71740 Jay’s Electro Mech, 71732 Epic Battle Set – Jay vs Serpentine, 71733 Epic Battle Set – Cole vs Ghost Warrior, 71731 Epic Battle Set – Zane vs Nindroid, 71730 Epic Battle Set – Kai vs Skukin, 71738 Zane’s Titan Mech Battle, 71736 Boulder Blaster, 71737 X-1 Ninja Charger
Minecraft
Over the 3 page Minecraft spread we’re introduced to 4 new sets for early 2021 release. 21168 The Warped Forest, 21169 The First Adventure, 21170 The Pig House and 21164 The Coral Reef.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Despite the success of the franchise we’re currently between movies, waiting for the next Fantastic Beasts movie, so there’s only 1 (or 4?) new product(s?) in the line up. The new Hogwarts Moment series is designed to remind us of 4 specific classes taken at Hogwarts, and then close up like a book to be stored away. 76382 Hogwarts Moment: Transfiguration class, 76383 Hogwarts Moment: Potions Class, 76384 Hogwarts Moment: Herbology Class and 76385 Hogwarts Moment: Charms Class will be released in January.
LEGO Star Wars
In North America we’re currently nearing the end of Season Two of The Mandalorian and I promise I won’t spoil anything if you aren’t caught up.
New to the Star Wars line up are: 75299 Trouble on Tatooine, 75295 Millenium Falcon Microfighter and 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter.
Ok, that wraps up part 3. Part 4 is coming up next and will cover the new Technic sets and some other special announcements for 2021.

I’m disappointed in the Ninjago Overlord Dragon. Before I saw the pictures I was super excited about it. Apart from the new molded head piece the rest of the model just looks wrong to me. I was expecting something really awesome.
