This morning the LEGO Ideas team was busy revealing the results of the third round of 2018 reviews. 5 sets were in the running in this round and we have a winner, and a runner-up! Runners-up are unusual but we have seen it before with the Voltron set.

Congratulations to Jonathan Brunn a.k.a. Mukkinn for the winning entry. These detailed dinosaur skeleton models have won the right to become an official LEGO set next year. It’s not too surprising as many of the LEGO Ideas winner focus on education, as these sets will do also.

The runner up to the dinosaurs is an intricately detailed Grand Piano from Donny Chen a.k.a. SleepyCow. This set is not yet approved for production but remains under review by the ideas team. Due the detailed nature of the set, I’m sure they’re trying to figure out if it’s feasible to become a product set that people would want to build. I mean, this is a working, playable, LEGO Grand Piano!

You can watch the full video announcement below. Don’t forget to also read our previous article about the latest batch of 9 Ideas submissions to go into review.
