Review: For more gushing praise about the quality and design of these models, please see my review of the Green Grocer set (#10185) above.  This is one my favorite models, and one of the very few I actually keep on display in my office.  It is simply gorgeous:  one of the best designed models I've seen.  But not only does it have good looks;  similar to its sister model, this model also makes a very sturdy and fun playset.  The top of the model and each of the three floors may be separated to play with the set in doll-house fashion.  Although the Cafe lacks the interior features of the Green Grocer (I loved the little shop and freezer on the bottom floor), the Cafe Corner boasts a great little outdoor patio, attractive entry steps, distinctive architectural features and attractive colors.  The set is also an excellent value for the number of pieces (approximately $140).  Younger builders (and heck, even older builders) will find it challenging.  Although the build is not as difficult as a TECHNIC set, there are many small pieces, and the sheer size of the model makes it labor-intensive (but I would call it a labor of love).  I believe this set took me six hours to build.

Note that the Cafe Corner, the Green Grocer, and Market Street (#10190) are all designed to hook together to make a whole street of buildings!

Just like the Green Grocer, the Cafe Corner is designed to easily come apart into separate floor units - dollhouse style.  Add your own furniture and get ready for some fun!
