Today is the first of December and the tradition of the Advent calendar starts. If you don’t know about them, an Advent calendar generally gives a way of counting down the 24 days before Christmas – at least in the current commercial form. Wikipedia explains the religious and other themes behind them.

Each day until Christmas, I’ll showcase the build from that day in the 2017 LEGO City Advent Calendar. The posts will come up at 9am Pacific time so you won’t have your surprise spoiled if you open yours first thing in the morning.

Today, to kick us off, we get a cute little train. Built from just 14 pieces, the train does a nice job of capturing the holidays by using the red and green associated with the holidays.

Consider supporting Brick Brains by purchasing your LEGO from LEGO.com using our affiliate links.
We get a small percentage of the purchase total and it doesn’t change the price you pay.
